Dear Lorraine,Thank you and Celing, your daughter Catherine and the entire staff and even the children for making my visit to the Faith Hope and Love Kids Ranch such a pleasant experience. I really hated to leave, and I can understand why many of the children feel the same way. You have done such a wonderful job of making the children feel loved, and given them a sense of belonging that I never believed could be possible in an institutional setting. I never dreamed that I would live to see the day when I would visit a nearly perfect orphanage, and that makes the word orphanage not even a good word to describe the work you are doing there. The children obviously feel like they are in a family, and they know they are loved. It’s no wonder they want to call you Mommy and Daddy. I was amazed at the large number of the children who gave me thank you notes as I was preparing to leave, and several of them wrote full page letters for me. Some of them asked me to return and some even asked me to come back and stay forever. These children really know how to bond and the fact that you’ve taught them not to fear bonding will make them excellent candidates for very easy adjustment into a successful adoption. You have a great potential for sending out an army of evangelists into families around the country and some into other countries. Most of the long letters I received from older children requested an opportunity to talk with me and that’s why I just had to come back for a second visit. It was such a joy to get to know them and I felt as if I were being blessed more than I was blessing. I was impressed with their biblical knowledge and spiritual maturity, but it was heart wrenching to learn of the abuses they had suffered. It just confirms my desire to help people understand how desperately these children need and deserve all the love and compassion we can give them. Thanks to the tender care and firm biblical foundation you have given them, I was truly amazed at the healing they displayed as they spoke about forgiving those who had so mercilessly abused them, and went on to share their future hope of becoming missionaries. It’s no wonder the bible calls ministry to widows and orphans “Pure and Undefiled Religion.”Yes, I was also impressed with the way you hire widows and teach them to love the children the same way you do. I could not help but notice the joy and sense of self-esteem in the widows and the orphans under your care. They all know they have an important duty to perform and they are all valuable members of a team. It’s truly remarkable. After working in an orphanage myself for six years and visiting other orphanages, I know how to observe and I understand what I observe. I have written about the urgent need to find a better way to care for children in orphanages, and now I have found it. You are to be highly commended among best that an orphanage can be. I congratulate you also for starting a church within the orphanage as a light and a witness in your community. May you inspire many others to follow your example. I heartily encourage you to write about your work and to teach others how to accomplish it and to begin to clone yourself before it’s too late. Your model really needs to be replicated in orphanages around the world. I also encourage you to teach the children not to fear adoption, but to be prepared to be Godly ambassadors wherever the Lord will lead them to the mission field He already has waiting for them. They will surely become strong advocates for your kind of ministry and will help others understand the need for every child to belong to a loving family, and to be properly loved and cared for in an orphanage or foster home.May God bless the work of your hands as you let your light shine before the world in such a way that men may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven (Matt 5:16)

Alissa Lee - her dreams are connected to my dreams.
If I don't do my part, others will be affected.
Life! This is what I felt the moment we drove onto FHL Kids Ranch. I had not even got out of the vehicle and I knew the grounds were blessed. It was that deep inner feeling you get when you are worshiping and the Lord is so present that you can not do anything but inhale a deep breath and melt at His presence. A little overwhelmed and not fully yet understanding this incredible feeling, I stepped out of the car and clarification was immediately received.
The moment my feet hit the ground, I was greeted by the children. Some a little more hesitant than others, but all offering a Filipino blessing. Just as our Lord and Savior greets us with welcoming open arms so did the children and staff of FHL Ranch. With an extended arm Lorraine welcomed me and offered to show me around. The environment was clean, orderly, loving with a clear tone of celebration. From the office, school house and sleeping houses to the dining hall, the children’s faces were seen and celebrated. The environment showed them love. Actions are everything to a child in this situation as they have become callus to empty words and promises. Everything about FHL Ranch, the ranch and the staff, showed the children love.
The children had chores and duties that were to be done daily. There is organizations, love and respect in all of it. The children are put on teams and there are team leaders. They are rewarded for their responsibilities appropriately and when needed talk openly about issues that need correction. The children were built up not beaten down. All I have to say is that it works! They live as a family and EVERYONE is treated with respect. No one person any less important than another. We are all equal in Gods eyes and that is exactly how this ranch is run.
Although my time was short, I feel extremely honored to have experienced this place and honored to call them my friends. A huge Thank you to the young boy who pulled out my chair for me at every meal and to the young women who made sure I always had fresh water. Servants hearts at there best. May God continue to bless you.
Blessings

Uncle John - a huge blessing to the ranch!
Uncle John has been to the ranch 11 times in 8 year. He is a childhood family friend. I’ve known him for over 35 years. That’s why the children call him Uncle John because he is like a big brother to me. I asked if he would share his testimony of his times at the ranch and this is what he said……
I will try...I can't find words...
the ranch is so much more than a passing note for me...it is a part of my life forever...I cannot sum up my thoughts so easily. I cannot find a way to express who these children really are and how precious they are. I can't summarize who you and Celing and Catherine and the boys really are.. How do I express a life poured out for the helpless. Words aren't sufficient....
How can I express in words the volume of Glory that belongs to God for the miracles...one upon another in the lives of these children?? Not to mention the blessings to my own personal life through the ranch. I have laughed when I really wanted to cry... I have smiled when I hurt, and I have been loved when I needed it the most...I am indebted...how do I express this sister?
And there is so much more...
The story is deep and rich and not to be read over lightly...
It is the fabric of Christianity.
It is handling Jesus--touching Him.
